SMS & Privacy Policy
Effective 10/1/2026
Your Privacy
Roots & Wings Mental Health LLC respects your privacy. This policy describes information shared through our website and communications, along with our rules for recording appointments.
Information You Provide
When you contact the practice, you may provide your name, contact information, and appointment-related details. We use this information to respond to inquiries, coordinate appointments, and provide requested services.
Please avoid sending diagnoses, medical records, financial documents, or other sensitive information through ordinary email or public website messages. Use the patient portal or another secure method arranged with the practice.
Website Technology & Outside Services
Our website is hosted through WordPress. Hosting providers and connected services may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser information, and cookies. Their privacy practices apply to information they collect.
Appointment and patient-portal links direct visitors to Sessions Health. Other external links may take you to services with their own privacy policies.
Clinical Information
Medical records and information collected during treatment are addressed in the practice’s separate Notice of Privacy Practices and patient consent documents. This website policy does not replace those documents.
No Audio or Video Recording of Sessions
To protect privacy and support a confidential treatment environment, patients, caregivers, support persons, and other participants may not audio-record, video-record, screen-record, livestream, or photograph appointments without the clinician’s prior written permission.
This includes recording with phones, computers, smart devices, recording applications, or automated transcription and AI meeting assistants. Recording tools must be disabled before the appointment begins.
The practice does not routinely audio-record or video-record sessions. Any approved recording requires advance discussion and appropriate written consent from everyone involved.
If you need an accommodation to help you understand or remember treatment recommendations, please discuss it with the clinician before your appointment. Written instructions or other suitable accommodations can be arranged.
If unauthorized recording is discovered, the clinician may pause the appointment to address privacy concerns and determine how to continue care appropriately.
Communication & Emergencies
Ordinary email and text messages may have privacy limitations. Contacting the practice or requesting an appointment does not, by itself, establish a treatment relationship.
Website messages and email are not emergency services. For an emergency, call 911. For immediate crisis support in the United States, call or text 988.
