Could it be ADHD?

ADHD can affect attention, activity levels, and impulse control. You or your child may experience:

• Difficulty staying focused or following through.
• Frequently losing things or forgetting responsibilities.
• Trouble organizing tasks and managing time.
• Restlessness or difficulty remaining seated.
• Interrupting others or acting before thinking.

These experiences do not automatically mean someone has ADHD. An evaluation helps us understand the symptoms, their history, and how they affect daily life.

An evaluation that looks at the whole picture

Your appointment is an opportunity to talk about what has been difficult and what you hope will change.

We’ll explore your concerns, health history, childhood experiences, and functioning at home, school, or work. We may use questionnaires and, with appropriate permission, information from parents, teachers, or others who know you well.

We also consider other possible explanations for attention difficulties, including sleep problems, anxiety, and mood concerns.

Additional records, appointments, or referrals may be needed before a diagnosis or treatment recommendation can be made.

Treatment built around your needs

If ADHD is diagnosed, we’ll discuss appropriate options and develop a plan together.

Your care may include:

• Medication management when clinically appropriate.
• Practical guidance for routines, organization, and follow-through.
• Education to help you understand your symptoms.
• Referrals for therapy, behavioral support, or additional assessment.
• Follow-up visits to review progress and adjust your plan.

Medication options depend on your evaluation, health history, and prescribing availability in the state where you receive care. Booking an appointment does not guarantee an ADHD diagnosis or a prescription for any specific medication. Please contact us before scheduling if you need continuation of a controlled medication.

Support for children, teens, and adults

Children and teens: We work with families to understand concerns and discuss developmentally appropriate care. A parent or legal guardian participates as appropriate.

Adults: Whether you have a previous diagnosis or are seeking an evaluation for the first time, we’ll take your concerns seriously and discuss next steps.

Clear, straightforward pricing

• Initial psychiatric evaluation: $300
• Medication follow-up: $175
• Extended visit: $200

Roots & Wings is a private-pay practice. Reduced rates are available for qualifying patients. Superbills are available upon request; insurance reimbursement depends on your plan and is not guaranteed.

Appointments take place by secure telehealth. You must be physically located in Iowa, Oregon, Alaska, Kansas, or Nevada at the time of your visit.
